Kung Fu with Bruce Lee

"There is no mystery about my style. My movements are simple, direct and non-classical. The extraordinary part of it lies in its simplicity. Every movement in Jeet Kune-Do is being so of itself. There is nothing artificial about it. I always believe that the easy way is the right way. Jeet Kune-Do is simply the direct expression of one's feelings with the minimum of movements and energy. The closer to the true way of Kung Fu, the less wastage of expression there is." ~Bruce Lee

To me, Bruce Lee was the so called Last Dragon in the martial arts world. While we have been blessed with plenty of great martial arts masters, NO ONE touches Bruce Lee's technique or dedication. Check out this interview of him explaining how martial arts calls for fluidity and not steps to make a move. Plenty of times, a lot of martial arts techniques requires certain situations to happen for a technique to work. The problem with that is the situation is not going to always be the same. What if an assailant grabs you from the left instead of the right, can you react the same or will your choppy movements be your demise? Situations change with ease when it comes to a physical battle, So can you perform with ease? thats why he created Jeet Kune-Do

Bruce Lee spent his life trying to manipulate martial arts to become a tool and give an edge in quickness and not to be something flashy or showboat like. That's why I feel the lessons he bestowed upon the martial arts world may have not been widely accepted by plenty of masters, but as we have hit the future, it is clear he wanted nothing more then the art to be perfected, not cause a divide.

Check out his interview for the popular series The Green Hornet. He played Kato, The Green Hornet's assistant

Black Cotton: So High Video

So I was approached by @TreyPeezy, via twitter, in regards to a video produced by Mario Winans and it definitely drew my attention to take a look and see what was going on. Black Cotton consists of Jimbo Slice, Leo-Nardo, and Marre-L, who grew up together in San Diego. Being childhood friends makes teir chemistry better then most come up groups because they are like family. Consider Black Cotton a Hip-Hop with Aan R&B twist all in one.

The group name is based off the fact that cotton was a sign of wealth in America because of te need for it and pricing. Which in turn, makes BC have the idea that wealth is truly what you make it.

Big ups to @TreyPeezy for the video. Check him out on twitter
